Sapphire, the birthstone for September,
has been popular since the Middle Ages and,
according to folklore, will protect your loved ones from envy and harm.

Blue is the main color of the sapphire.
Blue is also the favorite color
of some 50 per cent of all people, men and women alike. We associate
this color, strongly linked to the sapphire, with feelings of sympathy
and harmony, friendship and loyalty
The sapphire belongs to the corundum group, the members of which are
characterized by their excellent hardness (9 on the Mohs scale). Indeed,
their hardness is exceeded only by that of the diamond.
Thanks to that
hardness, sapphires are easy to look after and quite durable, making
them great gemstones for gents rings.
However, this magnificent gemstone also comes in
many other colors; not only in the transparent grey-blue of a distant
horizon, but also in the gloriously colorful play of light in a sunset –
in yellow, pink, orange and purple. These colored gemstones are referred
to as "Fancy sapphires" which are pure individualism and are made for
lovers of personalized colored stone jewelry.

stones or reusing a part of the old design to create a new piece. This
ability to create brand new from scratch, innovative designs, to reusing
and redesigning existing pieces allows Voyagers to be your personal and
full service jewelers. We do free estimates for any design.
always, we recommend that you regularly have your jewelry checked &
inspected. We can do that while you wait ... as well as keep
your jewelry sparkling & clean.....
After cleaning, we
will check for any missing stones; inspect each stone for
tightness; and look for chips, nicks and breakage.
Prongs, shanks and mountings will be inspected for wear and cracks.
If repairs are needed, we will make suggestions and discuss possible
options with you.
