The Voyagers
has G.I.A. (Gemological Institute of America) trained personnel to appraise
jewelry items for insurance replacement or estate valuations. Each
appraisal from the Voyagers comes with a photo of your piece and a
detailed description of the stones. The charge for an appraisal
of a ring with a single diamond is $35.00.
Colored stones appraisals cost between $50 to $150 each piece. Colored
stones are much more involved to test; and items are quoted individually. Please call us or stop in for more information.

An insurance appraisal is an appraisal that shows the value of
replacement; the cost to make another
piece that is
similar to the appraised piece. With every piece of jewelry
purchased from The Voyagers, we supply an insurance replacement
appraisal.
An estate appraisal is an appraisal that shows a value that a willing buyer and a willing seller would pay for that particular piece, also based on current market prices for stones and precious metals.
